Whiskey Lullaby

El pasado día 13, Marléne Bollard, desde Grenoble, Francia, compartió en la página Country Music de Google Plus el videoclip de la cancion  Whiskey Lullaby que interpretan a dúo Brad Paisley y Allison Krauss, que no había oido hasta ahora, aunque fue publicada en el album de Brad Paisley de 2003 Mud On The Tires. Posteriormente Alison Krauss la incluyó en su album de 2007  A Hundred Miles or More, A Collection. Me ha parecido una preciosa canción asi  que aprovecharé para dedicarle el post de hoy, a la vez que presento al multipremiado cantante de country Brad Paisley.

 Brad Paisley

Paisley nació el 28 de octubre de 1972 en Wheeling, Virginia Occidental. Su amor por la música country comenzó a los 8 años, cuando su abuelo materno Warren Jarvis, le regalo su primera guitarra y le enseñó a tocar. Tras iniciarse casi como profesional mientras se graduaba, fue invitado a participar en el programa radiofónico de música country Jamboree USA lo que le permitio actuar como telonero de otros grandes artistas duraaante seis años. Después de graduarse recibió un beca para asistir a la  Belmont University de Nashhville. Una semana después de graduarse,en el año 1995, firmó un contrato con EMI como compositor, y dió inicio a su carrera profesional

Desde 1999, ha ganado 14 premios de la Academia de Música Country, otros 14 premios de la Asociación de Música Country, 3 premios Grammy, y muchísimos más, lo que haría la lista interminable. Ante semejante fenomeno solo queda escuchar y disfrutar de su música.

El video que presento es el mencionado videoclip de la canción Whiskey Lullaby cantada a dúo con Alison Krauss. Además de dos voces formidables merece la pena escuchar el fantástico sonido de su guitarra. La guitarra que suele utilizar es una Fender Telecaster, pero tenía una extensa colección, varias de las cuales perdió en las inundaciones de Tennesee del año 2010
