Love The Way You Lie

Marshall Bruce Mathers III nació el 17 de octubre de 1972 en Saint Joseph, Misssouri, y es conocido por su nombre artístico Eminem. Es un rapero, productor discográfico y actor estadounidense que se hizo popular en 1999 con su álbum de estudio The Slim Shady, que ganó un premio Grammy por Mejor Álbum de Rap. Su siguiente álbum, The Marshall Mathers, se convirtió en el segundo álbum más vendido de hip hop en la historia. The Marshall Mathers y su tercer álbum, The Eminem Show, también ganaron premios Grammy en 2001, y en el 2003. También ganó el Óscar a la mejor canción original por el sencillo Lose yourself, de la película 8 Millas, en la que interpretó el papel principal. Al final de la gira de 2005 por la  presentación de su álbum Encore, comenzó un receso y después de varios años lanzó su quinto  álbum titulado Relapse, el 15 de mayo de 2009.

Eminem ha vendido más de 90 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo, convirtiéndose en uno de los raperos más vendidos en la historia, y es el artista de mayor ventas en la década del 2000. Además ocupó el puesto número 82 en la lista de Los 100 mejores artistas de todos los tiempos según la revista Rolling Stone, que le llamó Artist of the Decade. En total, incluyendo su trabajo con D12, ha logrado 7 álbumes #1 en la lista Billboard, además catorce sencillos #1 alrededor del mundo. Según la citada revista Eminem tiene dos de sus álbumes entre los 5 álbumes más vendidos de la década, transformándose en el artista más vendido de esta. El 22 de junio de 2010 lanzó su sexto album Recovery, del que hemos seleccionado la canción Love The Way You Lie, interpretada junto a Rihanna, con el estilo provocador de Eminem. El vídeoclip que interpretaron Megan Fox y Dominic Monaghan fue considerado, en general, como una apología de la violencia de género, sin embargo Rihanna ha manifestado que la canción, en la que Eminem cuenta su relación con su ex esposa Kim, arroja luz al drama de la violencia de género. Ella piensa que la letra es hermosa, profunda, y muy  intensa y que se siente conectada al oirla. De hecho ese juego de sexo, violencia y mentiras colocó en pocas horas la canción y el videoclip en lo más alto de las listas.

En el videoclip clip se recogen escenas en la que vemos degenerar una relación que comienza de forma apasionada y dulce. Después de las secuencias de la pareja durmiendo abrazados le siguen varias peleas, a la vez que se  escucha la voz de Rihanna cantando el estribillo de forma repetida "me gusta como me haces daño. ...  y me gusta como mientes". Al final, la casa en la que tiene lugar la escena acaba en llamas, y Dominic suelta una bofetada en plena calle a Megan antes de fundirse en un beso apasionado. Previamente le recrimina  a ella que le gusta la violencia tanto o mas que a él.

Aunque la canción me gusta por la enorme fuerza en la interpertación de Eminen y Rihanna, el videoclip me parece batante exagerado. Ese tipo de comportamiento solo se explica en personas con enfermedades psíquicas, o problemas de alcohol o drogas.
