No Freedom

El pasado dia 4 de marzo salió al mercado el nuevo album de Dido, que lleva por título Girl Who Got Away. Ya he escuchado alguna canciones y, como pasa siempre con ella, son increibles. Oirla me tranquiliza a la vez que su hermosa voz te inunda el alma y te hace sentir que hay esperanza, algo muy necesario es estos tiempos tan miserables.

Su nombre completo es Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O'Malley Armstrong y nació el 25 de diciembre de 1971 en Londres. La cantante y compositora ha vendido millones de sus albumes y singles, y ha obtenido muchos premios, entre ellos varios MTV Video Music Awardss, NRJ Music Awards, BRIT Awards, Grammy Awards, y algunos más.

Aunque empezó a cantar en 1995 y grabó varia maquetas, su album debut, No Angel, fue lanzado a nivel internacional en octubre del año 2000, y fue el disco más vendido en todo el mundo. A partir de ahí ha conseguido continuos exitos, como seguro que sucederá con el nuevo album.

Además ha participado en varios albumes de Faithless, y en la banda sonora de la película Sex and The City 2 con un single.

La escuché por primera vez en una canción de Eminen.  Este tomó un sampler de la canción Thank You de Dido y lo incluyó en su canción Stan, fantástica. Después vinieron sus éxitos: Here with Me, Thank You,  Don't Love home, See The Sun Again, This Land Is Mine, y otros muchos

Hoy publico el video de Youtube con la canción que ha sido el primer single del nuevo album, titulada No Freedom. Sencilla pero magistral.
