Presento hoy a Pink (P!nk como nombre estilizado) que ocupa esta semana el número uno en la lista de los 40 Principales con su canción Try, del album The Truth About Love que salió al mercado en septiembre de 2012. No es una de mis cantantes favoritas, pero si ocupa un puesto relevante en las listas algo tendrá.
Pink es una cantante, actriz, bailarina, acróbata y compositora estadounidense, cuyo verdadero nombre es Alecia Beth Moore, nacida en Doylestown, Pensilvania, Estados Unidos el 8 de septiembre de 1979. Comenzó su carrera como cantante en el año 2000.
Sus albumes publicados son lo siguientes: En el año 2000 lanzó su primer album Can't Take Me Home, en estilo R&B, del que obtuvo gran exito el single There You Go, que la hizo famosa. En su segundo album Missundaztood lanzado en noviembre de 2001 realizó un brusco cambio en el estilo de su música hacia el pop rock. Su tercer álbum, Try This, de noviembre de 2003, vendió 3 millones de copias y ganó un Grammy por Mejor Interpretación Vocal Rock Femenina por el sencillo Trouble. Su cuarto álbum de estudio I'm Not Dead de abril de 2006, obtuvo éxitos como: Stupid Girls, U + Ur Hand y Who Knew, estos últimos llegaron al n.º 1 en los charts pop. Su quinto álbum, Funhouse, fue lanzado en octubre de 2008 con el gran éxito de So What. El disco alcanzó otros tres top veinte: Sober, Please Don't Leave Me y Glitter in the Air, además de una exitosa gira mundial. En noviembre de 2010 lanzó, Greatest Hits... So Far!!! un álbum de grandes éxitos junto a los sencillos Raise Your Glass y Fuckin' Perfect. y por fin en septiembre de 2012, lanzó su sexto y último álbum de estudio The Truth About Love, ubicándose en el primer lugar del Billboard, del que a finales de año ha vendido cerca de 2 millones de copias en todo el mundo. No se puede negar su capacidad de trabajo y gran exito.
