All My Days

Hoy voy a dedicar el post a un cantautor proveniente de Escocia, aunque criado en Londres, y, a mi parecer, bastante influido por el indie norteamericano, en estilo próximo al folk y al country. Se trata de Alexi Murdoch, nacido el 27 de diciembre de 1973 que realizó sus estudios en la Universidad de Duke.

A finales de los 90's se traladó a Los Angeles y dejó a un lado el folk británico para adentrarse en el indie rock y el folk norteamericano.

Alexi Murdoch autopublicó en 2002  su propio EP, llamado Four Songs que incluía las canciones Orange Sky, It's Only Fear, Blue Mind, y Song for You. Su canción más popular es Orange Sky, que es inusualmente larga ya que tiene una duración de más de seis minutos. En una entrevista Murdoch contaba que cuando la llevó a una discográfica, el director puso el CD en el ordenador y se quedó mirando fijamente el contador en la pantalla para ver cuánto duraba el estribillo. En vista de ello Murdoch comprendió que tendría que producir él mismo su música.(Wikipedia)

En el 2003, después de haber autopublicado su primer EP, Four Songs, apareció en el programa de radio Morning Becomes Eclectic en la cadena pública KCRW de Los Angeles, lo que le dió la oportunidad de darse a conocer y presentar su música, que le resultó muy favorable, pero no consiguió contratar con ninguna discográfica y en el año 2006 volvió a autopublicar su primer album Time without Consecuence-

Hasta el momento ha publicao los trabajos relacionados, que son escasos. a mi entender.
